It’s dark and painful and absolutely compelling, because it’s a great deconstruction of gender, sexuality, and the way identity and biology aren’t always in agreement with each other, either intra- or interpersonally. Never mind omegaverse; this right here is a great work of science fiction.
It sits firmly in the list of best fics I’ve ever read. I don’t know how long that list is, but I know that this is pretty high on it.
