This sounds like an interesting convention panel…. 😉

Oh my god, it does.  Waaaaaaaaaaaah hahaha, stop taunting me, mamishka!

I WANT TO GO TO SEATTLE IN NOVEMBER WHY DOES MY LIFE HAVE TO BE UP IN THE AIR RIGHT NOW?

MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! JUST BAITING THE TRAP, ER, I MEAN, TEMPTING YOU TO COME VISIT. >;)

Look, you obviously don’t realize that I have wanted to visit Seattle FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS.  OMG.  I mean.  I am so hung up on the Pacific Northwest that if somebody offered me a decent job I would probably pick up and move all the way across country just so I could live there.

So YOU, you terrible temptress with your Seattle and your Sherlock and your panel talks about crashing lit crit into fandom at high speeds.  And your…you.  Oh and your consultingdepressive, apparently.  You’ve got one of those, too.

Rar.

If it makes a difference at all… mamishka contacted me about this a few weeks ago, and I’ve been thinking about going. It’s a bit out of the way, but my sister lives in Seattle, so it’d be lovely to visit her (she’s going on her honeymoon in October, which I’d completely forgotten about, so it would even be excellent timing).

So, er. Get that sorted and come, please?

Come on over ladies, I’ll show you a good time. 😉

PS – I have a consultingdepressive? *flips through charts bemusedly*

Alas, you do not have a consultingdepressive.  I over-enthusiastically misinterpreted her ejaculations about everyone moving to Seattle.

(Interestingly, it is in fact true that a bizarre proportion of the people I know end up moving to Seattle.  I know quite a lot of people there, actually.)

AHHHHHHHHHHH BUT A WREN. The temptation grows.

*ponders*  …I could tell any prospective employers that I have a prior commitment.  I’ve been invited to a conference!  To speak on a panel about alternative plot structures in New Media-based literature!  You’d have to be a Philistine to deny me that time off!

Now if only I had a clue where I’m likely to be living by then…
