dusking:

seriously what is so hard about SOURCING THE FANART YOU POST

and i don’t mean just putting in weheartit or pixiv or zerochan or whatever, because those are NOT REAL SOURCES, i mean crediting the actual artist

there’s this really awesome thing called google reverse image search that will help…

Okay, sourcing visual art—ANY visual art, whether photographs, fanart, charcoal landscapes or what have you—is always a good thing.

However, for all the times I’ve tried it, I’ve never been able to find a damn thing on Google’s reverse image search or any of the other search engines that’re supposed to miraculously turn up information on any jpeg that passes your attention.  Frankly they don’t work all that well.  It’s always worth trying, but there is NOT a magical method available for identifying unattributed art.

Sometimes I post stuff just so I can ask for an ID, because generally when i find art I like, I’d like to know the artist so that I can go appreciate more of their work.
