igybeszelunke:

ezen a képen én nagyon sok mindent nem értek – John megette egy hal? vagy ő egy kisköltségvetésű Jónás, akinek cet helyett ez jutott?

de most komolyan, mi a koncepció?

Oh!  Hah!  I forget sometimes that not everybody has heard these legends.  No, I promise it’s not an even weirder take on Tunalock.  ^_^  It’s based on a fairy tale.  In Celtic folklore, there are stories of fairy people called selkies who can turn into seals.  When they come onto dry land, they take their seal skin off like a cloak, and then put it back on when they go into the water.

The stories are often sad.  The most famous one is: a selkie woman marries a human man, and he hides her seal skin away so that she can’t swim away and leave him.  They live together for many years, and have children, but then one day she finds her seal skin hidden away in the attic.  And the sea calls to her so strongly that she’s forced to choose her heritage and leave her family behind.

So here is John, as a selkie. 🙂  I’m not sure whether they’ve just met, or if they’re bidding each other goodbye.  Maybe they meet each other like this every day, by the sea.
