There’s a certain irony in watching people post long (fun to read!) tracts on “No wait, you shouldn’t overlook this movie!” and then watching the world GO BALLISTIC at flyers for the giant robots. And the word of mouth has barely even started yet.
It’s adorable—and exciting!—but also funny when all you ever actually needed to say was “GIANT ROBOTS + WORLD-BUILDING” to have the geek contingent busting the door down. ^_^ (+ giant monsters + soulbonds + Guillermo del Toro + Idris Elba…)
Don’t worry, guys. I don’t think Pacific Rim is going to somehow get lost in the shuffle.
