Sherlock-Stress Nightmares is the sequel I keep trying to do to Point Blank.  They camp out in their room at the inn the night after Sherlock puts the case to bed, and have fun with night terrors, and then there are massive cuddles.  The /C to the H of Point Blank, basically.

Love is Hard is a story kernel near and dear to my heart—so near and dear that to date, I have not managed to write it.  It’s sort of a what if/response to all the ‘They each think the other isn’t interested, BUT THEY ARE AND IT ALL WORKS OUT IN THE END’ fics.  (Which is not to say I don’t like those; I do!  I just like to flip tropes over and poke them in their soft underbellies.)

Love is Hard is the story of how Sherlock and John both know damn WELL they’re interested, and do nothing about it anyway because they are painfully aware of how much it would cost them if they did.  Because you know, realistically, being Sherlock’s lover would tear a person apart, and all that ‘Sherlock thinks he’d find it too distracting from his work’ stuff has a real point.  Sometimes love isn’t enough; sometimes the costs are too high.
