may i have your take on ‘Redbeard’ ? so now we all know that Redbeard refers to Sherlock’s dog. Why did Mycroft bring it up in TSOT. Is there a back story or another anecdote? If so what does it mean for Sherlock? What was CAM implying when he said Redbeard in HLV? Also have you noticed that in HLV the first person CAM ‘read’ the red ‘pressure point’ line blinking like it’s searching but when CAM ‘read’ Sherlock there’s an unending list before CAM says Redbeard then Sherlock’s face. What’s up?

thanangst: prettyarbitrary: Spoilers! Read More HOW, in any way humanly possible, did CAM get the Redbeard reference in Sherlock’s pressure points?  ????? A beloved dog from Sherlock’s childhood, not a…

I keep getting asks about the post about gaslighting from stardust-dream and thursdayplaid: http://thursdayplaid.tumblr.com/post/72318361419/queerical-duckktective-stardust-rain Short answer is: oh my GOD I have so many thoughts. I have so many thoughts…

I’m sorry if this has already been answered before but one thing that has been bothering me in this series (from the many) is Sherlock’s immediate acceptance of Mary in the TEH itself. The Sherlock Im familiar with would not warm up to a person so quickly especially after deducing she’s a liar. Moffat explained this as him being blind to it because he wanted to like her. But why? Because John likes her? Instead I would’ve expected him to be wary of her because she’s so close to John.

Another good question! I think it’s beyond doubt that Sherlock wanted to like and be liked by Mary for John’s sake. And this wasn’t necessarily an honest personal like as…

do you think John “choose” Mary bec he has a tendency to attract &be attracted by dangerous ppl or he unconsciously chose Mary bec, like her, he wanted (try) to have a normal life? Mary would kill before she’d let John know things, her wish for normality so intense &maybe John saw that. Also there’s a theory (sylviatietjens. co. vu/ post/ 73460662599/ another-three-episodes-another-series-finished> &that John’s ‘fault isn’t blame but a flaw-danger tendency PTSD. do you agree?

Hmmm, this is an interesting question, but I think you’ve got a couple of things tangled together. ] Normalcy is definitely important for both John and Mary. I don’t necessarily…
