I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed, feel free to ignore me :) What is your take on the portrayal of PTSD in the show? John appears to have it in A Study in Pink (nightmares, psychosomatic limp, tremors), but it’s never referenced again. I have a difficult time believing that his therapist could have misdiagnosed him that badly, as Mycroft suggested. I’ve also seen some theories floating around that Sherlock has a touch of PTSD in S3. Thoughts?

Lestrade and John start going to the pub to watch rugby/football because it’s a friendship of convenience – they each have someone else who understands what it’s like to have to deal with Sherlock – but over the course of a few months, they start opening up to each other and eventually become great friends who are completely comfortable with each other whether it be drinking and having fun, or talking about past relationships, etc. Sherlock is no longer their only common interest.
