I think too the idea that so many on ‘your side’ share- that ‘I don’t believe it, but I’ll certainly enjoy it if it happens!’ can cause strong reactions. You get to either be right, or you get your ‘ship. The thing is, I respect people’s choice to not believe in TJLC. If they don’t interpret the show the same way I do…okay then. But what I don’t respect is people that don’t believe that feel a need to inflict that opinion on people that do, are minding their own business and having fun. if you don’t believe fine, share it with others that don’t and bond with them. because people that do believe don’t care that you don’t. they are just enjoying themselves. and same goes other way around.

A few things. The BBC controller (can;t remember his name) is openly gay and wants more queer representation. What the Conan Doyle Estate thinks is irrelevant as Sherlock Holmes is public domain in the UK. Also international handling for BBC Sherlock is done by BBC Worldwide and does not influence local/domestic product such as BBC One. So what other countries think has no affect on what the writers actually do.
