what if john is asexual, but he needs the romantic/affectionate aspects of relationships, which is why his relationships always fall through; he’s uncomfortable with sex but puts himself through it just so he can be close to someone and get the emotional support he needs. then he finds out that sherlock is asexual and eventually they get together and john finally has someone who understands and doesn’t make him feel like he’s broken

This is really sweet! We often see asexual!Sherlock but this is the first time I’ve seen anyone talk about asexual John.

Compulsory sexuality, just like compulsory heterosexuality is definitely a thing and this is an important narrative to tell.

as much as I like the sexy stories, this is a good story as well and I think you should write this anon!!
