Okay, so here’s the deal. Constantine has been in danger of getting the axe from NBC for a while now, despite constant efforts from fans to rally and save it. On Monday, the writers will be meeting with NBC executives to pitch season 2, and in May we will know whether or not it’ll continue. And we really want it to continue. Luckily for us, the executive producer/writer of Constantine has somehow convinced NBC to stream the entire first season FOR FREE, starting on Friday April 24th in attempt to get some last minute support from folks who may have not been able to watch the show when it aired.
SO. If you’re gonna be home Friday night and/or over the weekend with no plans and you’ve been looking for a new show to watch, I implore you to look into it. Again, it’ll be available for free on Hulu, on demand, and nbc.com starting on April 24th. Please don’t write this show off. It takes a couple episodes to get really going, but once you hit 1.04 it picks up pretty fast. Anyone who is a fan of supernatural stories or Hellblazer should definitely check it out. Some perks include: POC representation, human disaster John Constantine, John Constantine flirting (with everyone), Harold Perrineau, beautiful and complex leading lady who isn’t a love interest, and a really great soundtrack ft. the likes of Sex Pistols and Hozier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus so much more.
Watching the show this weekend could do a lot to potentially get it renewed. And if you do watch it, make sure to talk about it on twitter and social media!!!!! This may be our last chance to do something so please help us out.
