I support Michi, greenirene and others in fandom (or anywhere else) against those who bully, abuse, harass and doxx them. I also support working to make fandom a safer space for survivors of CSA and rape, and also for people who enjoy and explore dark themes in fiction.
This is not an either/or.
Wanting to make fandom safer for survivors is not any kind of justification for bullying, let alone the kind of abuse that involves going after people in real life to intimidate them, expose them on social media without their consent and threaten their livelihoods.
I think the conversation about survivors and what they need to feel safe and to cope and heal is important. I don’t think anyone willing to engage in bullying and abuse against their targets is effectively representing that cause or in any way acting in good faith.
