Killing Time – First Edition:

trashyfiction:

Since I was asked several times if there was an opportunity to get hands on a copy of the first edition of “Killing Time” by Della van Hise I recently looked through the web.

After a few pdf-files that were falsely declared as “the right edition” I finally found one that is indeed…

BOOK CLUB ANYONE??

also, for anyone who wants more extremely slashy published early Trek, may I recommend The Price of the Phoenix?

It’s got extreme slashyness, D/s themes, poly themes, and it was written by the women who published one of the first (if not the very first, I need to check my facts but I think it’s the first) anthology of Star Trek tie in fic that was officially sanctioned and not novelizations of movies/episodes.  From what I gather they actually selected stories that had previously been published in fanzines, and got them ok’d by The Powers That Be.  The anthology even has intros to the fics written by the original cast.  Leonard Nimoy’s and Nichelle Nichols’ intros seriously made me want to cry they were so perfect.

Anyway, folks interested in this stuff, turn your eyes towards The Price of the Phoenix by Sondra Marshak and Myrna Culbreath, and the anthologies Star Trek: The New Voyages, volumes one and two.

You can get all these books for less than five bucks each on Amazon.  I found my copies at Knoxville’s fantastic McCay’s bookstore, which I believe to be the land of the gods.

yeah.  talk to me about Star Trek tie in novels

Sending this around again, particularly since any of you who are following Reaper’s current Star Trek comic might find this scratches that same itch.

Price of the Phoenix was also great and almost unfathomably slashy.  It had a sequel, too: Fate of the Phoenix.

There was also Triangle, by the same authors.
