Can we have a Jack Crawford spin-off show please?  That final scene was everything I want from TV. Despite relatively little screentime, Jack’s become Hannibal’s most compelling character.  Maybe he always was.

I want the whole story through his eyes. I want to watch Jack travel to Italy and fall in love with Bella, rise through the ranks of the FBI with his peculiar cleverness and determination, be haunted and taunted by the Chesapeake Ripper, stumble through mistakes with Miriam Lass and Will Graham, be betrayed and attacked by his friend Hannibal Lecter, lose everything, yet somehow return to us stronger and alive.

But Laurence Fishburne conveys all this anyway, through only a handful of scenes. A brilliant actor, making an already well-written character so honest and heartbreaking. It’s impossible not to want him to win, even with all his mistakes of the past, even with the consequences for other much-loved characters.  Bravo, Jack.
