We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time intern who loves reading all ages of sci-fi/fantasy, and children’s and YA in general, and wants to learn more about the process of querying, manuscript evaluation, contract negotiation, and all the steps from manuscript to published book and beyond.
The internship is remote or on-site with some remote. Ideally the intern can visit New York City at least once a month to get an idea of day-to-day work and for networking opportunities, but this is not required.
Salary: $12/hour
Length: 20 hours a week; June, July, and August 2016 (some flexibility)
Requirements: A love of genre books, an editorial/analytical mind, and familiarity with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, Gmail, Skype, etc.)
Application Date: Due by May 20, 2016
To Apply: Email a cover letter, a list of the last 10 books you’ve read, and your attached resume (RTF, Word, or PDF) to aboggs@maassagency.com
