I wish people would take ADHD more seriously because a lot of people don’t know that depression, anxiety, low self esteem and other things can stem from the disorder when left untreated. If I had known about my ADHD at a younger age, it wouldn’t have taken this long for me to find happiness.
If you keep getting shit for your inability to focus consistently, your poor memory for things that aren’t compelling to you, your inexplicable clumsiness, a catastrophic lack of organization, your repeated pattern of starting strong but losing steam partway into a project, or your inability to both sit still and pay attention at the same time when bored out of your mind
you might have ADHD.
But probably no one has actually suggested that and they just treat you like you’re a failure of a human being.
Seriously, though. Consider getting checked if you can, because there are both treatments available and accommodations that can be had for people who are diagnosed.
