This is Toph. She is not disabled. She is awesome. Try again.

That is Toph. She IS disabled. She is also awesome. The two are not mutually exclusive.

roasted

I mean…

Charles Xavier, Professor X – wheelchair-bound, paraplegic/chronic pain from leg injuries (in some comics arcs, he can walk; it’s just excruciating for him)

Matt Murdock, Daredevil – blind

Tony Stark, Iron Man – did you miss the heart condition? Also spent some time paraplegic in comics

Doctor Strange – nerve damage in his hands

Deadpool – cancer, chronic pain

Bucky Barnes, Winter Soldier – lost an arm, replaced with cybernetics

Nick Fury – lost an eye

Colonel James Rhodes, War Machine – paraplegic in movies; in comics, suffers extensive injuries requiring extensive cybernetics

That’s all stuff you can see in the movies.  And then in comics:

Barbara Gordon, Oracle – wheelchair-bound, paraplegic

Clint Barton, Hawkeye – hearing loss, in at least some comic arcs

Hank Pym – bipolar disorder

Victor Stone, Cyborg – multiple injuries requiring extensive cybernetics, dysphoria from same

Dr. Midnite – blind

Cassandra Cain, Batgirl/Black Bat – was mute when introduced, still struggles with verbal communication in some comic arcs

Echo – deaf

Misty Knight – lost an arm, replaced with cybernetics

Puck – dwarfism

Thor – in comics, when he’s Donald Blake, he requires a cane to get around

Moon Knight – dissociative identity disorder

And that’s just ones I can think of who’ve had their own titles or are on big-name teams with titles.
