See, understand and control your privacy online. Learn about and block trackers.
Just found out about this and installed it for a try. It blocks browser tracking and cookies—you know, all the advertisers and analytics companies and things that are always sniffing around to see what you’re doing with your time and how they can sell you stuff.
It’s not too complicated, but you do need to actually read the tutorials and stuff when you first start using it. They provide you with information you are likely to need.
You can turn off just about all tracking, and then start surfing and find out what you do need and re-enable that. For example, I blocked what I thought was an advertising tracker, but it turned out I needed it to sign into Tumblr, so then I just clicked the little ghosty icon and turned it back on.
I think I’m going to like this.
