This, mah peeps, is the story of what happened to make John leave Sherlock and Irene alone at the end of Scandal. This is the missing piece that finally makes that episode feel complete to me. This is Irene being badass and manipulative and maybe a little bit merciful, and John being in love and vulnerable and making a terrible, terrible mistake that didn’t seem like it’d be so bad at the time…
