I KNOW I WANT TO LOVE IT SO BAD. But holy crap the OTT graphicness at times.
I don’t find it any worse than a lot of action movies, and it’s certainly not as bad as certain shows about cannibalistic serial killers or zombie apocalpyses. But it’s distinctly more brutal than most of Marvel’s offerings so far.
I think what makes it feel worse might be that they tried to keep it realistic? There’s something about violence that ISN’T Hollywood-overblown or sanitized, when the characters have actually appropriate reactions to what they’re seeing and experiencing, that makes it hit home harder.
