Okay, guys! Since I have my blog/community set up, that gives me 199 invites. I CAN send invites directly to people via their email or cell phone text, but a quicker way to do it is this:
That is a link to my Imzy blog! If you head over there, and click join, Imzy will tell me that you have requested an invitation.
I have 199 invitations.
All I have to do is approve you, and then you can set up your Imzy account and profile. You’ll also be auto-subscribed to my TOTALLY ACTIVE blog/community. (Disclaimer: it’s not very active.) You can always leave afterwards, if you want!
On Imzy, you can create an account without having a profile. You’ll be anonymous on the service until you create at least one profile (and you can create more than one), so you don’t have to choose quite as wisely as usual. 🙂
Creating an Imzy account or profile does not automatically create your blog. To do that, you have to go in and set up a ‘community.’ (Personal blog is a sub-type of community on Imzy.)
BUT when you join any given community, the first time you post in it, you can choose which profile you join as! So you can split up and manage your online identities on Imzy, which is probably my favorite part of it so far.
