Tried this on three separate screens. It should work to change individual perception of color simply by dimming or brightening the screen, but in this case, for me at least it did not.

It’s actually pink and white. The person taking the picture did so in crappy lighting. If you look at the toe of the shoe, you can see the pink. No trickery, just shoddy camerawork.

I don’t care what colour the original item is at noon in the sunshine, in whatever instagram filter (or overhead blue lightbulb) this was taken, the colours in the image are grey and teal.

Color picker-wise, the shoe is indeed gray and teal. However, taking the context of the other elements of the photo into account, if you were viewing it with your naked eye, the shoe would be pink and white, photographed in very crappy florescent lighting.
If you compare the color of the shoe to the color of the hand holding it, they are almost identical. Since that person probably is not in fact a horrifying, sickly bluish-gray, we can figure that in reality, the shoe is closer to a flesh tone.
