He’s hiding the cigarettes in the Persian slipper and he can’t even decide whether he is more concerned that John might notice or disappointed that he is THAT UNOBSERVANT.

Among the things that I hear John is ungrateful for in Series 3 is the fact that Sherlock was able to bring himself back from cardiac arrest because he thought John was in danger. Shouldn’t Sherlock be grateful to John for this? If it wasn’t for his thoughts of John, Sherlock would have died. John basically saved his life.
