Hiya!  My evening is going well, thank you!  I finished a resume today (wheeee, job hunting *blows on a noisemaker*) which is going to be reusable, for which I’m tremendously grateful because job applications are a PAIN TO THE SOUL.  And now I am hanging out past my bedtime on a couple of different chat tabs, talking to awesome people.

Hmmm, to help get to know me, have some random facts:

1:  You might know I have pet parrots?  I talk about them fairly freely.  They are small, green, evil and adorable.  One is shy and doesn’t like to be touched.  The other is a cuddly little Satan.

2:  I’ve been volunteering for the Organization for Transformative Works.  They’re the guys who run AO3 and Fanlore, among other projects.  I’m on the Communications Committee, so I’m one of the folks lurking behind the Fannews posts and things.  It’s partly a way for me to keep my hand in my chosen field (information management, information policy, social media management), and partly because I think they do fantastic work, supporting fandom and going to bat for the right of fandom and the creative works it produces to be taken seriously.
