I STILL haven’t seen Elementary, so apologies for botched characterization.

“You don’t look like much of a racer,” the little punk said, trying to loom over John.  He couldn’t have cared less.  He was comfortable stretched out like this.  Let the kid twist his neck off trying to be a big shot.

“Oh, I don’t drive.”  John pointed.

The kid turned around to find Joan right behind him; all four inch spikes, denim, leather polished so black you could comb up your pompadour in it, and a smirk that could cut glass.

“She drives,” John drawled.  “I just hit people for her.”
