95% of these are real justgirlythings but also apply to jim kirk’s life so yeah

Motherfucking “Requiem for Methuselah.”

That last gif.  You know what Spock is doing?  He’s mind melding with Kirk to make him forget about a woman he’d fallen in love with and had to let die.

Because Spock has just had this conversation with McCoy:

You wouldn’t understand that, would you, Spock? You see, I feel sorrier for you than I do for him.  Because you’ll never know the things that love can drive a man to – the ecstasies, the miseries, the broken rules, the desperate chances, the glorious failures and the glorious victories. All of these things you’ll never know, simply because the word “love” isn’t written into your book. Good night, Spock.”

And then McCoy leaves the room, and Spock promptly turns to Jim, asleep on his desk, and violates every principle of his steeclad Vulcan code of ethics in order to ease Kirk’s pain—demonstrating that he does indeed know exactly what love feels like, and just how far it can drive Spock.

I like to think of it as “That time Star Trek admitted to everything.”
