I realized this morning that I’m two-thirds of the way through this 30 day OTP challenge. And I have to say, I have learned one hell of a lot doing this. I’m not usually one have too much trouble with my internal editor, but writing and posting an average of 1100 words a day for 20…
Oh, joining in with the clamor of “hell yeah, that!” Roane’s distinction between storytelling and writing by wringing every word till it squeals is hitting a nail on the head that I’ve been walking around for a very long time.
I probably fall into the latter category. Having edited, I’m aware of my own need for editing and so I self-edit to a probably inefficient extent given that I don’t generally have access to a gang of betas like the #innercircle crowd.
On another note, you could always swing around to #innercircle, if you wanted. ^_^
Just to clarify to everybody, the name is meant to be a joke, because the chat is open to everybody, anytime you want to poke your nose in.
It’s http://client01.chat.mibbit.com/?channel=%23innercircle&server=irc.fdfnet.net. Or, if you want to use a client other than Mibbit, it’s server: irc.fdfnet.net, room/channel: #innercircle
We do bite, but only in the fun way.
(Incidentally, you can also get to the #antidiogenes writing chat this way. Server irc.fdfnet.net and room/channel #antidiogenes.)
